Akomex Group has completed the expansion of the plant in Aleksandrów Kujawski. The new hall was built with an area of over 1,800 square meters, where new production lines will start operating this year. The investment was carried out with the support of Pomeranian Special Economic Zone as a part of Polish Investment Zone.
Akomex Group invests over 40 million PLN in increasing its production capacity in line with the previously adopted strategy. In the opinion of the company’s management board, the new investments will allow Akomex Group to increase its production capacity by 30-40% this year.
Expansion of DrukPak production plant began in June last year. It cost over PLN 4.5 million. The new hall allows for optimization of production and logistics processes in the entire plant as well as for installation of additional machines. They will produce cardboard packaging mainly for pharmaceutical sector clients, both in Poland and in Europe.
The investments are realized with the support of Pomeranian Special Economic Zone as a part of Polish Investment Zone. Thanks to this cooperation Akomex Group expanded the production hall, purchased machines and equipment that optimize production processes, increased warehouse space and already increased employment in the DrukPak plant in Aleksandrów Kujawski.
“Despite the uncertain macroeconomic situation we are currently observing in various sectors of the economy, we are focusing on those investments which are in line with the strategy we adopted earlier. One of its main objectives is to increase Akomex Group’s market share. Only this year we are planning to spend over 40 million PLN on, among others, purchase of new production lines for both our plants, enlarging our warehouses, launching production in a new part of the production plant in Aleksandrów Kujawski and introducing new products to our offer, including 3d packaging.
Some of the investments are carried out with the support of the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone within the Polish Investment Zone. The coming months are a period of intensive development for us. We will increase our production capacity by 30-40%, which will contribute to an increase in sales by over 20% this year”- comments Grzegorz Łajca, President of the Akomex Group.
Production in the new part of the plant in Aleksandrów Kujawski is to start within the next few months. At the moment, new production lines are being installed, which will produce packaging mainly for the pharmaceutical industry, but also for the cosmetics, healthcare and beauty sectors. Later this month, the Akomex Group is also planning to launch a wide range of new spatial packages intended mainly for the food market. They will make it possible, among other things, to replace the plastic packaging used so far by the food industry and by other industries.
